Satasairaala – officially Satakunta Hospital District (SHD) is a public healthcare organisation, offering specialised medical care services to some 223,000 inhabitants in its 17 member municipalities in collaboration with primary health care and social services. SDH employs around 3,600 people. The strategic goal of Satakunta Hospital District  is to offer customer-oriented services to clients. 

Improving client experience with knowledge-driven leadership

“Satakunta Hospital District is distinctly aiming at improving the client experience and monitoring operations in real time. With this goal in mind, we have built a systematic model based on knowledge-driven leadership, incorporating the development of operating methods and expertise. SHD has worked hard to achieve these objectives,” says Innolink’s Business Director Jani Listenmaa.

To the finals and honored at the international IHF Awards

In the fall of 2019, the Satakunta Hospital District was selected as the only Finnish healthcare representative to the final of the IHF (International Hospital Federation) awards competition. The Satakunta Hospital District (Finland): Customer Experience Management and Development of Service Culture program was selected for the finals. 121 projects, from 92 organizations and 34 countries, participated in the competition.

The most distinguished categories where awarded in November 2019 during the 43rd World Hospital Congress in Muscat, Oman at a prestigious ceremony. Satakunta Hospital District achieved Merit Awardee in the category IHF Excellence Award for Leadership and Management in Healthcare.
